Whether you’re stepping onto your mat for the first time or you’re a seasoned practitioner looking to revisit the foundations of your practice, this two-part workshop series is for you!
In Part 1 of our Beginner Yoga series, we’ll dive into the basics of yoga by exploring meditation, breathing techniques, and a touch of yoga history. We’ll begin with a gentle yoga practice, then take a closer look at foundational poses. We’ll also explore the many uses of yoga props - blocks, straps, blankets and bolsters - and discuss how the proper use of them - along with good alignment and breath - can support your body and deepen your practice. And…we’ll explore the “WHY” of your yoga practice - or your “intention”! We’ll all arrive to our mats with different “whys” and intentions, and if you don’t quite know what yours is yet, we’ll figure it out together!
In Part 2, we’ll build on what we’ve already learned and new poses will be introduced, as we take time to break them down with care. We’ll explore how intentional movement and support can help you feel strong, stable, and connected. Even seasoned yogis might discover something new! And it you missed Part 1 of the series, it’s okay! We will review what was learned in Part 1, so you won’t be lost!
This workshop series is open to EVERYONE, offering the tools to create a sustainable, joyful yoga practice no matter where you are on your journey.
